[Udpcast] SATA drivers for Foxconn ls 36 motherboard not available with udpcast...

If I recall correctly, the dell BIOS has an option to make the SATA appear to 
the OS as legacy PATA controllers.  Look through the BIOS for that option.  I 
don't have a recent Dell system in front of me at the moment to check, but 
I'm pretty sure I've seen it.
